The Bellevue Public Library Children's Department has initiated a campaign to try and win an Imagination Playground for the Bellevue/Offutt AFB community. If the Bellevue Library wins, the playground will provide local children a free, fun, creative outlet packed with fresh air and exercise. The public is invited to help by voting each day from Sept. 28 through Nov. 18 (the site accepts one vote per person each day). The organization which garners the most votes will win the Imagination Playground (valued at $7,500). To cast your vote for the Bellevue Public Library go to https://goo.gl/sIAvTs

Please be sure to designate the library as follows:

Organization: Bellevue Public Library

Organization City: Bellevue

Organization State: Nebraska

On Monday, November 2nd, the Bellevue Children Librarian's will be hosting a day-long event (9AM - 7 PM) to raise awareness of the attempt to win an Imagination Playground and to encourage more people to come on board as daily voters. The contest runs through Wednesday, November 18. The company does not release any updates regarding our status in the contest, so the Library is trying to keep the energy high and finish strong!

During this day-long event, Children's Librarians Alice Boeckman and Michelle Bullock will be working from a large camping tent that'll be set up on the library lawn. They hope to showcase the area where they could bring out the pieces of the Imagination Playground, if they are successful in winning it. These dedicated librarians will offer "Storytime on the Spot" for anyone who comes to the tent during the day. The tent will be furnished with pillows and stuffed animals, making it a fun hideaway for kids. There will also be free popcorn, prizes for kids, and a chance to learn more about the Imagination Playground and even consider pledging to vote each day through Nov. 18.
