The City of Bellevue’s Public Works Department has announced that Lincoln Road, from West 16th Avenue to Harvell Drive will be closed on Friday, August 3rd from approximately 7:00am to 7:00pm and for a period time the morning of Saturday, August 4th. This closure is necessary as part of the first stage of the City’s 2018 Street Resurfacing Program.
This closure is necessary to complete this stage of the project. The City of Bellevue and its contractor, have taken steps to minimize the inconvenience for businesses and homes in the area. Work on this project will begin on the south end near West 16th Avenue on Friday, August 3rd and work toward the north which will keep access available to the businesses on the west side of Lincoln Road. While the operation of the Bellevue Public Library should not be affected on Friday morning, the Library will close at 2pm on Friday to avoid the inconvenience of the construction. The contractor will resume work early on the morning of Saturday, August 4th, on the north end of this project, just north of the library entrance and proceed north to the Lincoln Road and Harvell Drive intersection, with the goal of minimizing impacts to the area businesses. Resurfacing will then continue along Lincoln Road north of Harvell Drive. The Bellevue Public Library and businesses in this area have been notified of this project and their cooperation, as well as the cooperation of the residents in this area, is appreciated while the necessary road resurfacing is performed.
