Portion of Keystone Trail to Close for Construction Work

**Prep work has been completed and this section of the trail will officially close on Monday, October 2, 2023**

The City of Omaha has announced that a portion of the Keystone Trail, near 36th Street and Raynor Parkway will be closed from Sept 18, 2023, through May 31, 2024. The purpose of this closure is to allow for the replacement of the West Papio Interceptor Sewer Siphon across the Big Papillion Creek. For the safety of the construction workers as well as pedestrian and bike traffic, this portion of the trail will be closed during the duration of the construction period.  The closed area is outlined in the included map. The remainder of the Keystone Trail will remain open to pedestrian and bike traffic during the construction period. "Trail closed ahead" signs will warn trail traffic of the closure and orange construction fence will close off the construction area. As always, please be extremely careful near construction areas and do not enter closed off areas.
