The Offutt AFB Defenders of Freedom Open House and Air Show is this weekend, July 30 & 31. This event is FREE to the public and the Base Gates will open at 8am on both days. Spectators are highly encouraged to utilize the free shuttle service from the following parking areas in Bellevue which will run from 8:45am until 6:00pm :
- Southroads Technology Center – Ft. Crook & Childs Rd.
- Bellevue University – Harvell & Herman Dr.
- Bellevue East High School – Harvell Dr. & Lincoln Rd
- Bellevue West High School – 15th & Thurston Dr
- Offutt AFB (on base, via Bellevue gate, behind Sarpy County Museum) – Offutt AFB & Lincoln Rd.
With the Air Show occurring this weekend, Bellevue Police have some special assignments and road closures are as follows:
Fort Crook Road from Hwy 370 to Schilling Drive will be closed on:
Thursday 07/28 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Friday 07/29 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Saturday 07/30 from 8:15 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Sunday 07/31 from 8:15 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Harlan Lewis Road will be posted "NO PARKING" from 35th Street to Cunningham Road.
