Sarpy County Announces Concrete repairs Scheduled for Several Roads Throughout the County

Concrete Rehab Project will Start on August 10th

Several stretches of road across Sarpy County will be rehabbed starting Monday, Aug. 10, as part of the county’s concrete panel replacement efforts.

The projects, which will involve removing deteriorated concrete panels and pouring new concrete, will require some temporary road closures.

The expected closures, time frames and detours are as follows:

  • Aug. 10-14 – 48th Street at Cornhusker Road will be closed to southbound traffic. Drivers should use 36th Street as a detour.
  • Aug. 17-25 – 25th Street at Highway 370 will be closed to southbound traffic. Drivers should use Highway 75 or 36th Street as a detour.
  • Aug. 26-Sept. 1 – 84th Street at Fairview Road.  84th Street will remain open to traffic in both directions, but temporary traffic signals will be in place.
  • September 2-4 – 114th Street at Sherman Street. Southbound traffic on 114th will be restricted to a single lane.
  • September 8-21 – Giles Road at Highway 50. More details will be released about this closure closer to the date of work.

The schedule is weather dependent.

Drivers should use caution when driving in the area of the repairs and use the posted detour routes.

The Sarpy County Board of Commissioners in July awarded DIY Holding Company the contract for $340,015. Please contact Megan Stubenhofer-Barrett with Sarpy County at 402-593-4132 for any inquiries.
