The Bellevue Chamber of Commerce is once again pleased to host the 16th Annual Veterans Day Parade titled, "Defenders of Freedom" The Parade will take place on Saturday, November 7th beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Mission Avenue. The viewing area for the parade begins at Jackson Street on Mission and proceeds to Franklin ending at Washington Park. If you want to be able to hear the announcers, please find a seat between Washington and Franklin Streets along Mission Avenue.
Celebrating its 15th year, the tribute includes representatives of most military branches and veterans from recent wars and conflicts. The event typically hosts more than 100 entries including impressive participation from Offutt Air Force Base which sets the tone for a morning of patriotic pride unparalleled in the region. This is a great way to gather as a community to say thank you to our veterans for their efforts and sacrifices. The Grand Marshal for this year's parade is retired Air Force Master Sgt. Lou Pell.
