No alcoholic beverages are permitted in the parks. A waiver may be granted by the Park Department to consume alcoholic beverages in the shelters in Haworth Park only.

Overnight camping is available at Haworth Park for the following fees:

$25.00 a day for 50 amp hookup
$20.00 a day for 30 amp hookup
$7.00 per tent

Shelters must be rented from the Park Office at 206 Industrial Drive.  You can call them at (402) 293-3122.  Shelters will be scheduled after payment has been received.

A multitude of recreational and park activities are available during the spring and summer months. These include swimming (see below); tennis league and lessons; baseball and softball leagues; day camp and nature study seminar, basketball program, track club, football program. Music in the Parks will be performed every Thursday at 7:30 in Washington Park during the summer.

Groups in excess of 15 people must apply in advance to the Park Superintendent by calling 293-3122 and leaving the name, address and telephone number of the person responsible for cleanup.

No person shall preach aloud or make any speech or oration to any group of three (3) or more people in a park without special permit from the City. Permits may be obtained from the City Clerk, 293-3007, on forms approved by the Council. (Section 21-11, Bellevue City Code)

No person shall carry any rifle, gun, bow and arrow or other weapon of any kind within the parks and playgrounds of the city; nor shall any person fire, discharge or set off any rocket, cracker, torpedo, squib or other firework or anything of an explosive nature without special permission from the City Clerk. (Section 21-4, Bellevue City Code)
