Mayor Hike Proclaims April 28th as Earth Day in the City of Bellevue

Mayor Rusty Hike proclaimed April 28, 2019 as Earth Day in the City of Bellevue at the April 22nd meeting of the Bellevue City Council. Bellevue, along with the other communities of Sarpy County, strives to be a good steward of the environment and realizes that it takes cooperation from governmental organizations, community leaders, business owners and residents to bring awareness to the impact we make on the environment.

Please plan on attending the 2019 Sarpy County Earth Day Celebration & Expo on Sunday, April 28th at the Lied Activity Center in Bellevue from noon to 4pm sponsored by Green Bellevue. This is the 6th year of this celebration which is a family friendly educational experience that encourages residents to learn more about how to care for the environment and shows how each of us makes a difference. Local eco-groups will be exhibiting, there will be vendor displays, youth activities, including a scavenger hunt with prizes, face painting, good food, the largest EV Auto Showcase in Nebraska, a Trashion Show, OPPD will discuss the new community solar program and more!
