City of Bellevue is Monitoring the Rising Missouri River for Potential Flash Flooding

Residents and Businesses in Low Lined Areas of the City are Advised to take Precautionary Measures

The City of Bellevue’s Public Work’s Department has been notified that due to the forecasted heavy rainfall for our area and areas to our north, the water levels of the Missouri River are expected to rise through the end of the week.

As a precaution, the City of Bellevue wants residents and businesses in the low lined areas of our community to be aware of the possibility of flash flooding in these areas over the next couple of days as the Missouri River is currently projected to crest on Thursday afternoon.

At this time the City is encouraging residents and businesses in low lined areas to start taking any necessary precautionary measures to protect your homes and businesses from the potential of flash flooding during this time period. The City of Bellevue will continue to monitor the situation and more information will be released as necessary through press releases and on the City’s website.
