The City of Bellevue’s annual spring clean up will be held on consecutive Saturdays, May 17th and 24th between the hours of 7:00 am and 3:00pm.   The three Street department shop locations for drop-off are:
  • 29th & Hancock
  • 8252 Cedar Island Rd
  • 12805 South 9th St

They will be open from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM  for the residents to drop off the following items:

  • Household furniture
  • Lawn furniture
  • Storm doors & windows
  • Major appliances
  • Broken toys, bicycles, wagons, etc.
  • Bed springs & mattresses
  • Construction material
  • Automotive parts
  • Propane Tanks
  • Batteries (Automotive and Flashlight)
  • Tires

Note:  Haworth Park will be open on May 17th and 24th between 7:00am and 3:00pm to accept trees and brush.  The City requires that all trees and brush be hauled directly to Haworth Park/Marina for disposal.

The following items will not be accepted at the City shops:

  • Trees and Brush
  • Computer Hardware
  • Leaves and Yard Waste (special pickup weekly)
  • Automotive oil (can be recycled on regular garbage day)
  • Paint and Hazardous wastes   (Regional household hazardous waste collection facility will take these items.  Call 444-7465, or go to www.UnderTheSink.org for details)

Citizens will be directed to unload solid waste directly into a Papillion Sanitation compactor truck, or near a roll-off container.

Citizens will be asked to separate items into four separate areas at each location:

  • Appliances
  • Propane tanks
  • Concrete and masonry products

We ask that all citizens assist in our efforts by not bringing items which can be bagged and left curbside for normal weekly pick-up.

All children must remain in vehicles while in dump areas. The city’s contractor has salvage rights to all materials brought to the sites. No salvaging will be allowed by private parties.

The clean up is for city of Bellevue residents only. We would again require all persons to bring their previous month’s M.U.D. bill showing the trash fee to prove residency.

Clean up is restricted to residential items only. Commercial and business items will not be accepted. No vehicles larger than pickup trucks will be permitted unless prior arrangements are made.

Senior citizens and disabled individuals who meet low income guidelines can make arrangements to have items picked up Monday, May 19th, by calling Human Services at 293-3019 by noon on May 16th.

We are requesting that a food item donation to the Bellevue Food Pantry with each load.

Questions can be referred to the Bellevue Street Department at 293-3126 or e-mail kaustin@bellevue.net.
