Author: phil.davidson/Tuesday, June 26, 2012/Categories: Announcements

Residents who live in the 68005 area of Bellevue, north of Mission Street could help the city of Bellevue win a $100,000 environmental grant by participating in a recycling challenge. This exciting recycling challenge, that begins on July 2 – December 31, 2012, is sponsored by SC Johnson and Recyclebank.

If you live in this vicinity and are currently paying for the curbside (blue bin) recycling and trash program through MUD, you were selected as Bellevue’s “challenge households” and the city of Bellevue is counting on you to participate in this important challenge.

To register, go to www.recyclebank.com/greenchoices  and either use the personal identification number “PIN” provided in a mailer sent on June 22, 2012 or find your address.  Then, communicate once per month via telephone, smart phone or via the web that your recycled that month.  For your efforts, you will be rewarded monthly with a deposit of points, based upon the collective weight of the recycling material picked up in the 68005 area.

For all of the details go to www.greenbellevue.org/challenge or email ruthr@greenbellevue.org who will get you whatever information you need..

Thank you for helping Bellevue win this grant!!!!
