Unearth what’s buried at one of Nebraska’s oldest cemeteries during Bellevue’s Buried History Cemetery Tour on Sunday, Oct. 14^th. Tours available at 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. rain or shine.  The second annual cemetery tour will once again raise funds for the Bellevue Cemetery and the Sarpy County Museum.



Tourists will learn the stories of eight people who are buried at the cemetery who either played an important historical role or a memorial one. One of the stories told during the tour will be that of Adeline Beckstead, who was married three times during the early 1900s, one of her spouses was outlaw Jules Beni.  Also featured on the tour will be Native American Activist and 1904 Vice Presidential nominee named Thomas Tibbles; and Former State Senator and Sarpy County Attorney William R. Patrick.



Tickets are $10 per person or $30 per family. Tickets available for purchase at the Sarpy County Museum 2402 Clay St, Olde Towne Bellevue and the day of at the cemetery gates.  Everyone taking part in the tour will be required to sign a waiver. Parking available inside the cemetery. The cemetery is located one mile north of Mission Ave (Highway 370) in Olde Towne Bellevue on Franklin Street.



The Bellevue Cemetery will use funds for items such as lighting; the Sarpy County Museum will use funding for ongoing education and improving/updating exhibits.
