City of Bellevue Still in the Running for $100,000 Environmental Grant

Residents in the 68005 Zip Code Can Help in this Recycling Challenge

Author: phil.davidson/Tuesday, September 04, 2012/Categories: Announcements

Green Bellevue has sent out the following reminder:

This is another notice to be sure that residents in 68005 zip code (north of Mission Street) know you are eligible to help the City of Bellevue win a $100,000 environment grant. The Challenge is based upon residents reporting that they recycle each month until December. You set up an on-line account - and then your part is literally either 4 clicks on the computer or 4 phone calls to report that you recycled each month from September to December. It does not matter what you recycle, where or how much - you are reporting that "yes" you do recycle. By doing so, you are helping the City get closer to winning the grant!

If you have not yet signed up for the challenge, Green Bellevue member, Ruth Richter can help you get that done! Please send her an email message to ruthr@greenbellevue.org or call her at 402-880-7580 and she will contact you to get the information she needs to set your account up. If you'd rather try yourself, you can go to the Green Bellevue website for detailed instructions that may help: www.greenbellevue.org/register.

The City of Bellevue thanks you so much for participating in this effort!
